Cookie Policy
1. What This Covers
Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device. Browsers also offer other storage of the same kind, such as local storage. Privacy law treats them together: what matters is that something was written to your device, not which technology wrote it. This policy covers both.
2. What We Use Today
As of the effective date above, this site sets no cookies at all. It stores two values in your browser's local storage, both of them a direct result of something you did:
- sks_theme — the light or dark theme you picked, so the site opens the way you left it.
- sksya_identity — whether you joined the waitlist, and the address you gave, so we do not ask you again. It stays on your device and is not read back by us.
Neither is used to profile you, follow you between sites, or build an advertising audience. Both fall under the exemption for storage that is strictly necessary to provide something you asked for, so this site does not show a consent banner. If that changes, we will ask you before it changes, not after.
You can clear both at any time from your browser's site data settings. Nothing breaks; the site simply forgets your theme and asks about the waitlist again.
3. What Will Change As The Platform Grows
The site you see now is a waitlist. The platform behind it is being built, and parts of it will need storage this policy does not yet describe. When they arrive we expect to use:
Essential cookies
Once there are accounts to sign in to, sessions and authentication will require cookies. These cannot be turned off separately from using the platform itself.
Analytics
We may add aggregate analytics to understand which pages are read and where people give up. Where the law requires consent for it, we will ask for it first, and refusing will not degrade the site.
Preference storage
More of the choices you make inside the product will need remembering than the single theme setting we store today.
We will update this page before any of the above goes live, not after.
4. What We Will Not Use
- Advertising or ad-targeting cookies.
- Third-party cookies from advertising networks.
- Fingerprinting or device tracking.
- Selling or sharing behavioural data with data brokers.
These are not roadmap items we have not reached. They are out of scope for the product.
5. Third-Party Services
This site currently loads nothing from a third party. Fonts, images, scripts and styles are all served from our own domain, so no outside company sees your IP address simply because you visited. Links to sites we do not run, such as our social accounts, are ordinary links: nothing loads until you choose to follow one.
As the platform grows we expect to use third-party providers for infrastructure, payments and communications. Those that place storage on your device or receive your data will be named here.
6. Managing It Yourself
Every browser lets you refuse cookies, delete stored data, and be warned before anything is written. Doing so on this site costs you the two preferences described in Section 2 and nothing else. For step-by-step instructions, see your browser's own help pages.
7. Updates
We will update this policy as what we store changes or as new regulations apply, and post the change here with a new effective date.
